The US vetoed a resolution in the UN Security Council on a Palestinian bid to be granted full membership of the United Nations last month. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday met his Palestinian counterpart Riyad al-Maliki during which they exchanged views on the current situation in war-torn Gaza. The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was today apprised of the agreement signed between India and Palestine on cooperation in information technology and electronics. "The MoU shall come into effect from date of signature of the parties and shall remain in force for 5 years.
