The Supreme Court on Monday sought the CBI's response on former media executive Indrani Mukerjea's plea challenging a Bombay High Court ruling denying her to travel abroad as she is accused of killing her daughter Sheena Bora. The travel restriction matter came up to the Supreme Court after a special court on July 19 allowed Mukerjea's plea to visit Spain and the United Kingdom for 10 days over the next three months. The CBI approached the high court challenging the order passed by the special court. The high court quashed the special court's order on September 27. Mukerjea moved the apex court challenging this high court order. OTT platform Netflix on Thursday told the Bombay High Court that it would not release the documentary series on Indrani Mukerjea, who is facing trial for allegedly killing her daughter Sheena Bora, till February 29. A division bench of Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Manjusha Deshpande directed the makers of the series to hold a special screening of the series for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the prosecuting agency. The docu-series, titled 'The Indrani Mukerjea Story: The Buried Truth', delves into the disappearance of 25-year-old Bora and was scheduled to premiere on streaming platform Netflix on February 23 (Friday). Videocon Group founder Venugopal Dhoot had during an argument over a flat told Deepak Kochhar, the husband of ICICI bank's former CEO and MD Chanda Kochhar, that she would "land up sharing room with Indrani Mukerjea," as per the chargesheet filed by the CBI in an alleged loan irregularities case. Deepak Kochhar became very angry and asked Dhoot to listen to his advice, otherwise he would "ruin him", according to the chargesheet. The claim, citing the statement of a witness, is part of the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) chargesheet filed in the case against Chanda Kochhar, Deepak Kochhar and Dhoot. Rahul Mukerjea, son of former media baron Peter Mukerjea, on Thursday denied before a special court here that he knew whether Sheena Bora was still alive. Rahul, a witness in the 2012 Sheena Bora murder case, was being cross-examined by defence lawyers before special CBI judge S P Naik-Nimbalkar. Sheena's mother Indrani Mukerjea is a prime accused in the murder case. The crime came to light in 2015, three years after Sheena (24) was allegedly killed by Indrani with the help of Indrani's former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamvar Rai in April 2012. To a question by Indrani's lawyer Ranjeet Sangle, Rahul said, "As per my personal knowledge, I do not know whether Sheena is alive or dead as of today.
