The IT major's net profit soared 2.2 per cent quarter-on-quarter (Q-o-Q) to Rs 6,506 crore in the September quarter of FY25, from Rs 6,368 crore in the June quarter of FY25 (Q1FY25).
IT major Infosys has collaborated with Swedish electric performance car brand Polestar to create a base for the latter's development of in-car infotainment, software and electrical/electronics engineering, user experience, and cloud-powered digital services. As part of this partnership, Infosys will establish a global technology hub for Polestar at its development centre in Bengaluru, a regulatory filing said. "This hub aims to deliver electric vehicle (EV) software development and validation across many domains, including infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and telematics," it said. It will support Polestar's product management, customer engagement, corporate solutions, and accelerate direct-to consumer digital services through cloud-native development, testing, and data engineering, it added. Indian IT services company Infosys on Thursday announced it is extending strategic collaboration with Posti to enable the delivery and logistics services provider in Finland, Sweden and the Baltics to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Infosys will adopt an AI-driven approach powered by Topaz, its AI-first offering using generative AI technologies, to empower Posti with operational efficiencies and service quality. Infosys Cobalt will leverage its Live Enterprise Application Management Platform (LEAP), a cloud-enabled platform, to provide NextGen Application Management Services for enterprises to drive their cloud journey, and enhance business productivity. IT major Cognizant's subsidiary TriZetto has slapped a lawsuit on Infosys in a US federal court, accusing the Bengaluru-headquartered company of stealing trade secrets and information related to healthcare insurance software. Infosys, in a statement, denied all allegations. The company asserted it is aware of the lawsuit and will defend its position in the court. Cognizant in a lawsuit filed in Texas federal court has accused Infosys of illegally accessing data from TriZetto's software -- Facets and QNXT -- and using the same to develop and market a competing product. Cognizant offerings include TriZetto's Facets and QNXT, which healthcare insurance firms use to automate tasks. Teaneck, New Jersey-based Cognizant has the bulk of its employees in India. The announcement of her nomination to the Rajya Sabha was a double surprise as it came on Women's Day, philanthropist and author Sudha Murty said on Friday. The former Chairperson of Infosys Foundation, the philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Infosys, said that she has never sought the position and had "absolutely no idea" why the government chose to nominate her. "It came on Women's Day and that's a double surprise. I am very happy. I am grateful to our Prime Minister," Murty, who is currently on a visit to Thailand, told PTI over phone. On her role as a member of the Upper House, the wife of Infosys co-founder N R Narayana Murthy said, "I have to see what are the things...what I can do. This is a new area to me. So, I have to first sit and study and then I will be able to do it." She said she was pleasantly surprised by the announcement.

IT services company Infosys on Saturday said it has inaugurated a new development centre at the Mihan-SEZ in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Infosys has invested over Rs 230 crore in the development of this facility, which is spread across 2,65,000 sq ft. The centre will provide greater flexibility for employees to work in a hybrid mode and enable re-skilling and up-skilling of local talent. "Infosys inaugurates a new development centre in Nagpur. With over Rs 230 crore investment, the 2,65,000 sq ft unique state-of-the-art building is an integration of art and science," according to a release. The new centre will also give employees the opportunity to work on next-gen technologies like cloud, AI, and digital across multiple industries, such as telecommunications, banking, retail, aerospace, automobile, logistics, and manufacturing, among others. Indian IT services company Infosys on Thursday said all its employees in Israel are safe. Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, Infosys CEO and MD Salil Parekh said its employees in Israel are primarily locals but declined to comment on the exact staff strength there. The company further said it is "saddened" by the situation unfolding in the region. "We have business in Israel in that part of the region and...with what is going on there...we are saddened by it. All of our employees are safe in that business," the Infosys top honcho said during the Q2 earnings briefing.
