IRB Infrastructure has posted a 21 per cent rise in its toll revenue to Rs 539.6 crore in October. Revenues from the toll collection business stood at Rs 447.8 crore a year ago, IRB said in an exchange filing on Thursday. Of its 17 tolls, IRB MP Expressway in Maharashtra contributed the major share of Rs 142.6 crore to the total revenue collection, followed by IRB Ahmedabad Vadodara Super Express Tollway, which contributed Rs 66.2 crore, it said. The company collected Rs 32.7 crore in toll revenue from CG Tollway (Chittorgarh to Gulabpura NH 79). "Following a good first half in FY25, the third quarter has begun on a strong footing, marked by robust toll collection growth in October 2023. IRB Infrastructures Developers Ltd on Friday posted around 5 per cent rise in consolidated profit after tax to Rs 140 crore during June quarter on account of higher income. It had reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 134 crore in the April-June quarter of preceding 2023-24 financial year, the company said in an exchange filing. The company's total income rose to Rs 1,972 crore in the reporting quarter from Rs 1,745 crore in the year-ago period, registering an increase of 13 per cent. In a separate statement, Virendra D. Mhaiskar, Chairman & Managing Director, IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited, said, "It is a promising start for FY25 with the continued robust momentum in toll collection, especially with the newly added assets to our portfolio." The Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Tuesday said it has approved Cintra's proposed acquisition of 24 per cent unitholding in IRB Infrastructure Trust and MMK Toll Road Pvt Ltd. Cintra InvIT Investments BV (Cintra SPV 1) and Cintra IM Investments BV (Cintra SPV 2) collectively belong to the Netherlands-based Ferrovial group. "The proposed combination involves the acquisition of approximately 24 per cent of the issued and outstanding unitholding (on a fully-diluted basis) along with certain commercially negotiated rights in the Private InvIT (IRB Infra Trust) by Cintra SPV 1. "Simultaneous acquisition of approximately 24 per cent equity shareholding along with the right to nominate a director on the board of directors of the IM of the Private InvIT by Cintra SPV 2," CCI said in a release. IRB Infrastructure Trust, an associate of IRB Infrastructure Ltd, on Monday said its special purpose vehicles have made an upfront payment of Rs 6,111 crore to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for toll operate transfer projects. The SPVs made an upfront payment of the concession fee of Rs 6,111 crore to the NHAI (TOT12 - Rs 4,428 crore, TOT 13 - Rs 1,683 crore) and subsequently received the appointed dates from NHAI for both projects, IRB Infrastructure said in a statement. IRB Infrastructure Developers on Friday said that its associate IRB Lalitpur Tollway has signed a concession agreement with the NHAI for tolling and operations and maintenance of the Lalitpur-Lakhnadon stretch of NH44 in Madhya Pradesh. The project involves paying upfront Rs 4,428 crore to NHAI for tolling and O&M of 316 km stretch of NH44 for a revenue-linked concession period of 20 years, IRB Infrastructure Developers said in a statement. The project is being executed by IRB Infrastructure Trust (Private InvIT), it added. The company has taken a step ahead in achieving financial closure for the project, the statement said. IRB Infrastructure Developers Chairman and MD Virendra D Mhaiskar said this is the company's second concession agreement for a toll-operate-transfer (TOT) project within a span of 6 months. IRB Infrastructure Developers on Monday posted a 63 per cent fall in its profit after tax to Rs 133.77 crore during the April-June quarter, dragged by lower income. It had reported a net profit of Rs 363.19 crore during the April-June period last year, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company's total income in the first quarter (Q1) of the current fiscal also fell to Rs 1,745.47 crore from Rs 1,995.40 crore a year ago. In a statement, company Chairman and Managing Director Virendra D Mhaiskar said the company commenced 2023-24 on a positive note and expects to continue to witness robust momentum in toll collection. IRB Infrastructure Developers has reported a 20.64 per cent rise in revenues from its toll collection business at Rs 369.9 crore in March 2023. During the same month last year, "the toll revenue from the subsidiaries and joint venture entities of the company was at Rs 306.6 crore," IRB Infrastructure Developers said in a regulatory filing on Monday. On a month-on-month basis, the collection in March was 5.38 per cent higher, as against Rs 351 crore in February 2023. The Mumbai-headquartered company has a major presence in the build-operate-transfer (BOT) space. It is the largest integrated private toll roads and highways infrastructure developer in the country.

IRB Infrastructure Developers on Thursday said its total toll collection across all projects has increased 27 per cent year-on-year to Rs 351.75 crore in February 2023. The company had reported the toll collection at Rs 277.47 crore in February 2022, it said in a statement. IRB Infrastructure Developers Chairman & Managing Director Virendra D Mhaiskar said that the February 2023 toll collection on all the corridors has once again revealed the consistency and robustness in the growth over last year; thus, reflecting India's economic stability in the post-pandemic era.

IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd on Monday reported a 94.49 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 141.35 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2022. The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 72.68 crore during the year-ago quarter, IRB Infrastructure Developers said in a BSE filing. Its total income during October-December 2022 rose to Rs 1,570 crore, from Rs 1,497.78 crore in the year-ago period. The firm's expenses fell to Rs 351.72 crore from Rs 1,280.22 crore. In a statement, the company said GIC Affiliates has committed 49 per cent investment in Ganga Expressway Project, and the first tranche of about Rs 329 crore has been received.
