Amazon owner Jeff Bezos' former wife MacKenzie Scott has filed for divorce from her second husband, Dan Jewett, two years after they got married

Scott, 51, shook up the philanthropy world last year with the pace and magnitude of her giving.

The disposals, disclosed Wednesday in Securities and Exchange Commission filings, adds to a $4.1 billion sale earlier this year

MacKenzie Scott, former wife of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, announced that she has donated around $1.7 bn to groups involved in philanthropic causes such as healthcare, LGBT rights and racial justice

MacKenzie, 49, an author, will become the world's fourth-richest woman, and has already promised to give away at least half of her fortune, the CNN business reported

Under the agreement, MacKenzie Bezos, 49, will receive approximately 19.7 million Amazon.com shares, giving her a four per cent stake in the company valued at $38.3 billion

She'll receive a 4 percent Amazon stake, currently worth about $36 billion, as part of the settlement
