Max Ventures Investment Holdings, a promoter of financial services firm Max Financial Services, on Wednesday offloaded 58.85 lakh shares in the company for Rs 400 crore through an open market transaction. According to the bulk deal data available with the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Max Ventures Investment Holdings sold 58,85,000 shares (1.7 per cent) of Max Financial Services. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 679.2 per scrip, taking the aggregate value of transaction at Rs 399.70 crore. Following the stake sale, the shareholding of promoter have come down to 13.02 per cent from 14.72 per cent. Shares of Max Financial Services closed 1.67 per cent lower at Rs 688 apiece on NSE.

Max Ventures & Industries Ltd (MaxVIL) on Friday reported an over three-fold jump in net profit to Rs 46.04 crore for the quarter ended June. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 13.05 crore in the April-June period a year ago, MaxVIL, part of the Max Group, said in a BSE filing. Its total income rose 47.72 per cent to Rs 389 crore, as against Rs 263.33 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Total expenses were at Rs 321.34 crore, up 34.09 per cent from Rs 239.64 crore earlier. Revenue from packaging films increased 46.3 per cent to Rs 367.54 crore, compared to Rs 251.22 crore in Q1 FY 2020-21. Revenue from real estate climbed around three-fold to Rs 14.26 crore from Rs 4.69 crore. Max Ventures and Industries Limited (MVIL), one of the three new holding companies formed after demerger of the erstwhile Max India Limited, will list and start trading on the NSE as well as the BSE on Wednesday.The listing will unlock value for the shareholders of erstwhile Max India, the company said in a statement.MVIL will be the second company to start trading on the bourses after the demerger of the erstwhile Max India. Max Financial Services, (previously known as Max India Limited) had already started trading post demerger on January, 2016.MVIL provides management services and manages the investment in its manufacturing subsidiary, Max Speciality Films (MSF), which is in the Speciality Packaging Films business.
