Bangaluru-headquartered Climaveneta Climate Technologies (CCT), a Group company of Japanese multinational Mitsubishi Electric, is investing Rs 400 crore in its state-of-the-art plant at Narsapura in Kolar district, its CEO Anil Dev said on Thursday. He said the plant would be inaugurated on Friday. We are investing Rs 400 crore at our Narsapura plant. Presently we are having an order booking of over Rs 500 crore, as we target to double the annual order intake in next five years, Dev said. Mitsubishi Electric will set up a plant to manufacture air conditioners and compressors at Mahindra World City Developers' industrial park in Chennai with an investment of USD 222 million. The new factory will be Mitsubishi Electric's first air conditioners and compressors manufacturing facility in India. This factory will cater to the growing air conditioner demand in the domestic market and is expected to begin operations by October 2025, Mahindra Lifespace Developers said in a regulatory filing. Mahindra Industrial Park Chennai Ltd (MIPCL), a joint venture between Mahindra World City Developers Ltd and Sumitomo Corporation of Japan, has signed Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt Ltd and has given land in its industrial park to set up the facility, it added. Mitsubishi Electric Corporation on Tuesday said it will invest about Rs 220 crore (3.1 billion yen) in its Indian subsidiary to set up a new factory in Maharashtra. The new factory will be set up near Pune in Maharashtra. Its subsidiary Mitsubishi Electric India will manufacture inverters and other factory automation (FA) control system products, said a statement from the Japanese manufacturer of electrical and electronic products. The factory is expected to start operations in December 2023 and would expand the company's capabilities to meet the growing demand in India, it added. "The rapidly growing Indian market is expanding at an annual rate of about 8 per cent mainly in industries such as automobiles, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, data centres, and textiles, with further market expansion expected in the future," it said.
