TAC InfoSec Ltd, a global cybersecurity company specialising in vulnerability management, on Monday announced its partnership with Google as an authorised lab for Mobile Apps Security Assessment (MASA) for Developers on Play Store as a part of App Defence Alliance (ADA). As a MASA authorized Assessor, TAC Security will now be able to assist developers and organisations in meeting Google's stringent mobile application security standards, ensuring apps are rigorously tested for vulnerabilities, and providing top-tier security compliance, according to a release. Prior to this recognition, TAC Security was also the only recommended and preferred Assessor for Google's CASA (Cloud Application Security Assessment) Programme. The government on Tuesday announced setting up of hubs to promote exports through e-commerce medium in public-private-partnership (PPP) mode. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that these hubs, under a seamless regulatory and logistic framework, will facilitate trade and export-related services under one roof. "To enable MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) and traditional artisans to sell their products in international markets, e-commerce export hubs will be set up in PPP mode," she said. Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal has recently said that a regulatory framework to push the country's exports through e-commerce medium is expected to be ready by September. At present, India's exports through this medium are only about USD 5 billion compared to China's USD 300 billion, annually. There is a potential to take it to USD 50-100 billion in the coming years. Though arbitral proceedings have certain shades of civil suits, they are different in substance. Therefore, the bar on suits imposed in the Partnership Act in certain circumstances will not come in the way of taking disputes to arbitration, the Supreme Court has held in its judgment, Umesh Goel vs Himachal Coop Housing Society. The partnership firm undertook to build a project that ended in disputes. The matter was taken to an arbitrator who ruled in favour of the firm. The society moved the Delhi High Court, raising the objection that under Section 69(3) of the Act, suits are barred and so arbitration was also banned.
