Billionaire Shiv Nadar, founder of HCL, has gifted 47 per cent of his stake in HCL Corp and Vama Delhi to his daughter Roshni Nadar Malhotra as part of a strategic succession plan. After the transfer, Malhotra will acquire control and become a majority shareholder of Vama Delhi and HCL Corp, HCLTech said in a stock exchange filing. HCL Infosystems Ltd also made a similar filing. By virtue of her stakes in Vama Delhi and HCL Corp, she will become the largest shareholder of HCL Infosystems Ltd and HCL Tech. She will also acquire control over the voting rights in relation to the 12.94 per cent stake held by Vama Delhi and 49.94 per cent held by HCL Corp in HCL Infosystems. In HCL Tech, she will acquire a 44.17 per cent stake held by Vama Delhi and a 0.17 per cent stake from HCL Corp. IT services company HCL Technologies (HCLTech) has teamed up with SAP to drive innovation and accelerate the adoption of Generative AI, according to a release. With this collaboration, HCLTech will partner with SAP to develop solutions that enable businesses to get better outcomes and speed up business transformation. In partnership with SAP, HCLTech plans to create a repository of Gen AI use cases specific to SAP software, the release added. The use cases will complement cloud solutions from SAP and help customers explore the potential of enhancing SAP solutions with Gen AI. HCL founder Shiv Nadar topped as the most generous person in the country with an annual donation of Rs 1,161 crore, the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2022 revealed on Thursday. Prominent Indian industrialists Shiv Nadar and Mallika Srinivasan have been chosen by a top India-centric business advocacy group as the recipients of its 2021 Global Leadership Award. The US India Business Council (USIBC) on Thursday announced the selection of Nadar, founder and chairman emeritus, HCL Technologies and Srinivasan, chair and managing director, Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), for the award. The two top leaders will be honoured at the 2021 India Ideas Summit to be held on October 6-7, a media release said.
