As the campaigning for the by-elections in Uttar Pradesh gathered momentum in Mainpuri district on Sunday, senior SP leader Shivpal Yadav said the PDA will "neither get divided, nor fall". He added that one who makes such a remark will have to pay the price later, apparently attacking the ruling BJP. Speaking to reporters in Ghiror area of the district while campaigning for party candidate from Karhal seat Tej Pratap Yadav, Shivpal Yadav said the BJP will be defeated on all the nine bypoll-bound seats. He also exuded confidence in Tej Pratap Yadav's victory with a large margin and hoped that the administration ensured a transparent election. Responding to a question on the "batenge toh katenge (divided we fall)" remark of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the senior SP leader said,"PDA na toh batega, na hi katega (The PDA will neither get divided, nor fall)." Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav on Monday said that people are fed up with the BJP, which made "false and hollow" promises and have decided to vote for the SP. Talking to reporters in Saifai on the occasion of Holi, Yadav said, "Everyone is fed up with the BJP. Inflation, taxes, unemployment and corruption are at its peak. The promises BJP made were false and hollow. This time people will ensure victory for the SP candidates." "If we win UP, BJP will be wiped out," he added. Senior Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav has alleged the BJP came to power in the state promising to end corruption, but it has proved to be the "most corrupt" government. He made the remarks here Friday evening when he had come for the 'bhoomi pujan' and foundation stone laying ceremony of a private school in the Sah Manodharpur village of Trivediganj block. "The BJP came to power about seven years ago making claims of ending corruption. But this is the most corrupt government," he alleged. When the Samajwadi Party was in power in the state, even a common worker could get his work done easily, but now nothing happens without a commission even if the the recommendation has come from an MP or an MLA, the SP general secretary claimed. Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party Lohia founder Shivpal Yadav on Thursday announced formation of a new organisation for the Yadav community, and said it will fight for the cause of social justice. Yadav said the organisation -- Yadukul Renaissance Mission -- was not for or against any political party. While Shivpal is the patron of the organisation, former MP from Sambhal DP Yadav is its president while writer Vishwatma is founder member of the Mission. "We will soon be constituting the unit of the Mission across the state and country," Shivpal Yadav said at a press conference. Among the issues which the new outfit is going to take up include demand for conducting a caste census and formation of 'Ahir (Yadav) regiment' besides others. Yadavs are considered as the core vote bank of the Samajwadi Party and the formation of new outfit is seen as an obvious attempt to woo the community.
