A year later as season 2 begins, start-ups that 'sharks' invested in vouch for marketing gains from it but only a few have raised funds subsequently

The funding round was led by Presight Capital and an undisclosed global hedge fund, with participation from Heliad Equity Partners, MPGI, 468 Capital and Whiteboard Capital

The start-up will use the funding to drive product development and expand its network of fulfilment centres across the country

Under its new start-up policy the state govt aims to set up 100 incubators, with at least one in each district, including India's largest incubator in Lucknow

Even the Economic Survey which was presented on Thursday highligthed the importance of the segment

The fund will be over and above the Rs 10,000-crore fund for start-ups
