Italian superbike maker Ducati plans to introduce its motocross bikes in the Indian market next year as it looks to further strengthen its product range in the country, a top company executive said Wednesday. The company has multiple products lined up, including upgraded versions of the existing nameplates, for the Indian market. In an interaction with PTI, Ducati India Managing Director Bipul Chandra said the company will introduce new variants of Scambler, Multistrada, among other models. "And then in 2026, we will see the company launch the motocross bikes. We have already started taking part in the competition globally, and we have started winning them. So we are very excited about that. That's a new segment we shall be entering," Chandra stated. Ducati on Wednesday introduced the all-new 2025 Panigale V4 in the Indian market. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Friday said it is recalling certain units of its superbikes GL1800 Gold Wing and CBR1000RR to inspect and replace faulty fuel pumps. Honda GL1800 Gold Wing manufactured between December 2017 and December 2023 and CBR1000RR manufactured between September 2017 and April 2020 are affected, the two-wheeler major said in a statement. HMSI, however, did not provide an exact number of the units being recalled. "The fuel pump impellers may have been improperly molded, which can cause them to deform and result in fuel pump failure. If the fuel pump module becomes inoperative, the engine may not start or can stall without indication while riding," the company stated. The inspection and replacement of fuel pumps will be carried out at BigWing Topline dealerships across India, it added.
Italian superbike maker Ducati on Monday said it will hike the prices of its entire range of motorcycles in India from January 1. The company, however, did not disclose the quantum of the hike. Ducati India announces an increase in price on its entire motorcycle range to be effective on ex-showroom price from January 1, 2023, the luxury bike maker said in a statement. The company has been absorbing costs for some time but will now have to pass on the increase through a revision in prices due to a substantial increment in costs related to raw material, production and logistics, it added. The revised prices will be applicable for all models and variants of the bikes irrespective of dealerships across New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The company also said it remains committed to India and will launch all the motorcycles unveiled globally in the domestic market.
