Ride hailing services firm Uber on Thursday said it has signed a pact with government-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi at an event where he spoke with Infosys Chairman, Nandan Nilekani, on the subject of 'Building Population Scale Technology.' "Our vision for Uber in India is to serve the mobility needs of all Indians. This is in line with ONDC's objective of democratising digital commerce. Delhi-NCR emerged as the top region in terms of the overall highest number of Uber trips, while Mumbai pipped the national capital in the most late-night trips booked, according to the ride-hailing firm's annual data report. Consumer protection regulator CCPA on Friday said it has issued notices to cab aggregators Ola and Uber for unfair trade practices and violation of consumer rights. "We have issued notices to both Ola and Uber. Most of the consumer complaints received in the last one year are related to the deficiency in services and other unfair trade practices," Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) Chief Commissioner Nidhi Khare told PTI.
