Withholding Tax On Foreign Companies

The decision is part of the 64 amendments introduced through the Finance Bill 2023

The tax applies even to FPIs that might otherwise have been protected from a higher tax rate because of existing treaties

They are required to withhold taxes on payment to another party and deposit that tax with the govt
