Hours after the US authorities charged industrialist Gautam Adani for allegedly paying $250 million bribe to Indian officials, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demanded his immediate arrest. "Adani should be arrested immediately and his "protector" Madhabi Puri Buch should be probed," Gandhi said at a press conference. Adani and seven other defendants, including his nephew Sagar Adani, were indicted in New York over his role in an alleged bribery and fraud scheme worth millions of dollars.
