Central government to set up a CIPET branch at Chandrapur in the Vidarbha region

A seminar on plastics and chemical industries was held on August 21, 2015 at Nagpur to promote Vidarbha as an investment destination, highlight government initiatives, connect local entrepreneurs and national players and create an interaction forum with the industry and attract start-up entrepreneurs in the sunrise sector. Seminar was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Nitin Gadkari (Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways).
 
The seminar focuses on topics such as the role of Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology (CIPET) in galvanising plastics industries, role of government of India for promoting plastic & chemical industries, and expectation of Vidarbha for developing value added/engineering products in plastics and chemicals.
   
Meanwhile, the central government has decided to set up a CIPET branch at Chandrapur in the Vidarbha region.
