For Pavan Vaish, it's been quite a journey from being a co-founder of a small start-up in 2000 to being CEO IBM Daksh. Here he talks about his fave gadgets |
How many gadgets do you carry? |
My cellphone, Blackberry, iPod and IBM ThinkPad. |
Your favourite gadget till date and why? |
The Blackberry, because it is the best integration between the cellphone and PDA that I have seen so far. |
A dream machine you would like to build? |
A palm-size laptop with a built-in cellphone which is capable of sending replies to most of your emails. |
The next gadget on your must-buy list ... |
The latest Lego robotic set. I am still a kid at heart. |
An application that is a lifesaver for executives? |
Sametime, for instant communication with my colleagues. |
Most embarrassing moment while exhibiting your toys around? |
It has to be when I dropped hot coffee on my latest IBM Thinkpad's keyboard. |
Which website do you frequent the most and why? |
That would be Google. I visit it at least five times a day as this is my portal to the Internet. I use Google to access all news and information. |
Do you blog yourself or read any blogs? |
I read the family blog to keep an update on how everyone is doing. |
Have you ever hacked a machine or wished to? |
I would never do that. |
Your biggest tech disaster? |
I had to change the ringtone on my wife's cellphone and I couldn't. I can't think of a bigger tech disaster that that! |
