Find your feet with these! From flip-flops to boots, clogs to sandals, with loafers and moccasins bringing up the rear, be they in low, high or platform heels, in leather, canvas or rubber, the choice out there on the shop-shelves is getting wider and more colourful.

After all, shoes can make or mar your getup. No wonder shoe fashion has now turned seasonal in the manner of everything else high fashion, and brands are coming up with colours and cuts of Spring-Summer '08. Here's a peak at the latest ware.

Comfort fit

It's summer and the accent, naturally (pun intended), is on comfort, on materials and cuts that let the feet breathe. Crocs, the brand with its trademark clogs made of its proprietory Croslite material (it doesn't mark or skid, and is supposedly anti-microbial), launched eight new designs in funky, summery colours "" mango, turquoise, cotton candy.

Besides the plain vanilla Mary Jane styling, there's Malindi (slim-fitting, feminine), Adara (sporty, sleek), Off Road (with reinforced toe-wrap, for men who need to have their feet firmly on the ground) and something for little girls, Minnie Jane (boys can go jump!). Prices: Rs 1,495-2,495.

Bling on the feet

Shoe fashion makes its debut on Indian ramps with Sonali Dalwani's Crimzon Accessories. Apart from her bags and belts, it'll also be her glittery slip-ons that'll set off designer Neeta Lulla's clothes to advantage at the Lakme Fashion Week.

Dalwani uses Indian craftsmanship, a euphemism for bling, large pink, blue and orange stones set between embroidery in zari, and the like. She's available at high-end fashion MBOs as Azza, Ffolio and 85 Lansdowne in all the major cities of the country. Her collections (bag and shoe ensembles) have evocative names like Romance, Rejoice, Seduction, Sublime. Price on request.

Tongue in check

Homegrown brand ID has come up with its "zestful, cutting edge" collection in canvas. High on design, these canvas slip-ons are marked by vulcanised rubber outside and a flip-down tongue inside which has a built-in support to provide a snug fit.

One design claims to be a "cordless shoe with no laces to tie". The colours, blue, red, olive and "natural", and the washed effect on the canvas are other highpoints. Price: Rs 1,085 and Rs 1,385.
