Gargi Raina's "Flight" is a large diptych, its two halves depicting two wings sketched in rich detail with beeswax dripping down. There's an elegiac quality about the work that even without the Icarus in the parenthesis evokes the figure from Greek mythology who fell to his death because he forgot his father's advice to not fly too close to the sun.
Raina's work is part of an exhibition, Mapping Memories, which opened at Tunti Chauhan's new, 2,500 sq ft Gallery Threshold in New Delhi's Lado Sarai area.
A group show, it brought together a number of established and upcoming names
