Finally, after waiting for a year, I'm buying a new Getz. Now I need help with my music system. Which one do you think will be the best within a budget of Rs 12-15,000? I read your reviews for the Oxygen speakers " will they be good for me?

I'm only looking for an in-dash CD player with front and rear speakers and no sub. The Getz also has a housing for speakers in the rear doors, but where do you suggest I fit them, on an MDF parcel tray or the rear doors?

Nilesh Dias, via email

Congratulations on your new car! Now, for your front speakers, the Oxygen Sphere 100s are a good bet " at the price, they offer sterling audio quality. For your in-dash CD player, look at the Pioneer 5650 or any model above, as this range, in our estimation possesses a satisfactory ampli-fication system.

Overall sound quality is surprisingly good, and if, in the future, you want to add an external amp, these head units' pre-amps are most suitable.

As for rear speakers, suggest you go in for proper full-range ovals mounted on an MDF parcel shelf, especially since you don't want a sub. The speaker blanks in the rear of the Getz are built to handle smaller speakers and this will not provide you with a wholesome listening experience, as lower frequencies in the sound spectrum will be severely compromised.
