Cracking the whip on the errant Indian cricketers, the BCCI today decided to issue show cause notice to them for their conduct during a pub bawl in St Lucia soon after the team's humiliating exit from the Twenty20 World Cup in the West Indies.

BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan would issue the show cause notice tomorrow to an unknown number of players -- believed to be four -- at board President Shashank Manohar's behest, its Chief Administrative Officer Ratnakar Shetty told reporters here.

The tough stand of the board came after tour manager Ranjib Biswal met Manohar and Srinivasan to give them first-hand information of what happened when some players were reportedly involved in a brawl at a pub in St Lucia with their fans from the United States.

"The manager of the Indian team, Ranjib Biswal, today met the board President. The board President and Secretary took information from him regarding the West Indies tour and also from the written report (submitted by Biswal earlier)," Shetty said.

"We also conducted an enquiry over the incident in the West Indies that was widely reported in the media. After considering all the information that we have gathered, the President took the decision that the board Secretary will issue a show cause notice to those players tomorrow," Shetty said.
