'Cannes Lions 2008,' the coveted global advertising festival to be held in mid-June, will have an Indian flavour in its various juries as 9 ad stalwarts from the country have been selected as judges for the prestigious event.
"The increased representation of the Indian advertisement industry at Cannes is a good beginning. It will help in recognising good work of the country at the international platform," said Priti Nair, national creative head, Grey India, an advertisement firm.
Nair, who is one of the press jury at the festival, thinks the presence of Indian representatives in the Cannes' juries will help convey the original message of Indian ads which, according to her, are generally based on the indigenous diversity of the country.
