Suresh Productions and Ramanaidu Studio have opened a cine-support facility providing state-of-the-art digital and special effects technology, in Hyderabad on Monday.

The facility called 'Spirit' was inaugurated by Barrie Osborne, producer of movies like The Lord of the Rings and Matrix, a press release said.

Spirit provides end-to-end film-making capabilities ranging from film processing to distribution services.

It also offers Cintel's DSX Telecine and Scanner, Celco's Firestorm Recorder and Da Vinci's 2K Plus Colour Correction System. While DSX assists in high-end commercial post-production, film mastering and restoration projects, Celco's Firestorm is the next level of recorder that produces multiple original negatives with sharpness and speed.

Inaugurating the new facility, Barrie Osborne said, "The reason for my visit to Hyderabad is to explore the kind of facilities for film-making that are available in India. The facilities in India are gearing up and the talent pool is also good. The Indian animation industry is poised for substantial growth and India can expect film-makers from around the world to utilise support services for production and post-production projects."
