Air Deccan, SpiceJet and GoAir, which have been getting flak for a lack of Cat-III B pilots, are now clearing up the fog. |
They have introduced fog helpline numbers which, they say, complements the already existing outgoing calls and SMSes they send to their customers. |
The helpline numbers are also available on their websites or you can note them down now. Air Deccan: 98181 77008, GoAir: 1-800-223-001 (toll free), SpiceJet: 98718 03333/1-800-180-3333 (toll free). Air Deccan will be providing refreshments to "pacify" its passengers at the airport for delays beyond two hours. |
Got the blues? |
Soon you can do more than just download songs and transfer data using that Bluetooth feature on your mobile phone. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is conducting trial runs for transferring info to passengers at Amsterdam's Schipol airport. |
Travellers who are within the range of the Bluetooth transmitter will automatically receive travel information from KLM if they have activated the Bluetooth function on their electronic devices. |
KLM plans to conduct this BlueCasting trial up to February next year and hopes to launch the service after assessing passenger feedback. |
Two much |
Looks like Air Deccan is trying out all single-digit numbers to price their tickets. After Re 0, Re 1, Rs 3 and Rs 9, now it's Rs 2. |
Meaning, two lakh tickets for Rs 2 "" plus taxes, of course. You can book these ultra-cheap tickets for travel between February and March 2007, and hope you are the lucky sort, as bookings opened two days back, on Sunday morning. |
Socking it in TRIP TIP Don't forget that "comfort pack" given to you when you travel business class. It is a proven fact that airline socks are best for ensuring good blood circulation to your legs. So try wearing them when you have a long day in front of the computer at work. Not just that. Pull these socks over your duty-free booze and they will be better protected when the aircraft hits an air-pocket. Ear plugs from the pouch will come handy too, especially when you are riding motorcycles (lets in the right amount of noise through the helmet)! |
