The new BMW 3 Series coupe is out. Nothing surprising about that, right? Well, what if we tell you that this time, BMW has given it direct injection and not one but two turbos? And this is not even the M version! Who said the Germans don't know how to have fun?

Anyway, the new 3 Series coupe comes with the award-winning straight-six petrol powerplant that's good for 306 bhp and a top whack of 250 kph. Also, this is the first time ever that BMW is using twin-turbo technology and direct injection on any of their cars. BMW claims that the motor weighs almost 70 kilos less than an eight-cylinder engine of corresponding performance.

Oh, and before we forget, there's more to this car than just the engine. Like the six-speed close-ratio gearbox and a chassis that boasts 50:50 weight distribution.

Okay, the car also gets an all-new bodyshell that looks rather different than its sedan variant. Yet, with a long wheelbase (for a coupe, that is), a long bonnet, short overhangs and a rear set cabin, it is every bit a BMW coupe. Future variants include a 330i that will come with 272 bhp while a 330d is also said to be on its way in September. Better place your orders now.

High TT

First, the bad news. Audi has just pulled the plug on one of the most beautiful cars of the last decade. Yes, the Audi TT will no longer be made. But the good news is that they have announced its replacement.

The new TT is out and here's what it looks like. It's slightly bigger than its replacement and Audi says that the new TT seems to be striving to move forward even at standstill. Boy, that's a new one.

The TT gets Audi's famed ASF and the body is built mainly using aluminium and steel. The 2+2 coupe comes with two engine options, a 2000cc 200 bhp FSI unit and a 3200cc 250 bhp V6. Both come with a six-speed manual transmission as standard.

Other changes include 19-inch (yes, you read that right) rubber and a new multi-link rear suspension for brilliant dynamics. The TT also gets a flat bottomed steering wheel " something we would love to get our hands on " and there is MMI too. While we don't have an official word from Audi yet, the new TT should be available at an Audi dealership near you pretty soon.
