<b>Cricket:</b> Australia beat England by 7 wickets

Australia continued to dominate, beating England by 7 wickets.

England won the toss and decided to bat first but were soon in trouble after losing two early wickets.

Ian Bell (77 runs) and Kevin Pietersen (104 runs) steadied the innings with a 140-run third wicket stand. However, England struggled in last 15 overs, scoring only 68 runs and were all out for 247 in 49.5 overs.

Australia chased the target in 47.2 overs with skipper Ponting leading from the front with 86 runs. Michael Clarke was unbeaten on 55 runs.

Australia's pacer Shaun Tait was Man of the Match for picking 3 wickets for 41 runs in 10 overs.
