England beat Bangladesh by 4 wickets to keep their hopes alive of a possible semi-final berth.

After winning the toss, the English men asked Bangladesh to bat first and then bowled them for just 143 runs in 37.2 overs. Only resistance came from Saqibul Hasan who scored 57 runs.

For England, Man of the Match Sajid Mahmood picked three wickets for 27 runs from 8.2 overs. Monty Panesar, too, took three wickets, and James Anderson claimed two wickets.

The English men, however, took considerable time to finish the match as they achieved the target in 44.5 overs at a slow run-rate of 3.28 runs per over. Skipper Michael Vaughan was the top scorer with 30 runs.
