West Indies recorded a consolidation win, beating Bangladesh by 99 runs.
West Indies, batting first, scored a modest 230 for the loss of 5 wickets from 50 overs. Ramnaresh Sarwan was the Man of the Match and top scorer with 91 not out. Shivnarine Chanderpaul scored 50 runs.

However, Bangladesh could not get going and lost wickets at regular intervals and were all out for just 131 runs from 43.5 overs.

For Bangladesh, Mushfiqur Rahim 38 not out was the top scorer and Mashrafe Mortaza scored 37 runs.
