The publishing house has loudly announced that it has acquired an impressive following for its English translations of the best of contemporary Indian literature in largely error-proof, readable and attractive volumes.

The front cover proclaims that the short stories in the anthology have been selected by Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Govind Nihalani, Gulzar, Rituparno Ghosh and Sharmila Tagore.

Rest assured, though, it appears to be a coincidence that the celebrity selectors are better known for their work in cinema. In any case, all short stories have appeared earlier in Katha
