The tournament is the Indian qualifying round for the World Corporate Golf Challenge. The winners will represent India at the event to be held at La Manga, Spain from July 1 to July. Teams from 30 other countries will participate in the event. |
The 25 corporate teams that participated in the event included GE, Microsoft, Nestle, Hero Motors, Deutsche Bank, Yes Bank, Pepsico Holdings, Berger Paints, ESPN, Indian Airlines, BPCL, SRF, Escorts Construction, Royal Airways, Jaypee Group, Alfa Laval, Grey Worldwide among others. |
The United States, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, New Zealand, Germany, Nigeria and Norway are participating in the final. |
In several countries, the qualifying tournament is sponsored by a major newspaper group. Business Standard in India joins The Times ( of the UK) , The Australian ( Australia) , Il Giornale ( Italy) , and El Mundo (Spain) as co-sponsor of this event. |
