For the year 2007, the Kerala government's department of tourism plans to focus on developing the Malabar region which comprises five districts of northern Kerala - Kasaaragod, Kannur, Wayanad, Kozhikode and Malappuram.

On anvil is the multimedia launch of www.dreamseason.kerelatourism.org, a micro website, aimed at building traffic specially during the April to September period.

To consolidate its international markets further, the department, led by Tourism  Secretary Dr Venu V, and Tourism Director Sanjay Kaul, had organized a road show in Paris in association with India Tourism. The show gave impetus to the fast growing number of travelers from France, which is recognized as one of the top outbound markets of the world.
