Dell Business Notebook Latitude D510
Dell has announced the Latitude D510, a mainstream notebook computer designed to maximise the productivity and technology budgets of growing businesses.

With a starting price of Rs 55,721 (including duty and delivery), the Latitude D510 extends the computing resources of small- and medium-sized businesses by providing mobility with reliability and flexibility.

Dinesh Pai, country manager, Dell India, points out that this is an increasingly important requirement: "The economy in the Asia-Pacific region is being driven by innovative small business owners who are quick to adopt value-added technologies that can help them expand their geographic reach, stretch resources and increase productivity."

With a starting weight of 2.36kg, the Latitude D510 can be configured with an Intel Pentium® M processor or a Celeron® M processor.

Customers can also configure systems with 14.1-inch or 15-inch XGA displays and a choice of wireless networking solutions. Customer feedback and quality and reliability testing help ensure the Latitude D510 will stand up to most operating conditions.

Dell's Tri-Metal chassis helps ensure the D510 can withstand the rigors of mobility. The sealed, stiffened keyboard defends against dust and spills while the Strike Zone shock absorber helps protect the hard drive.

Hyundai Electronics "Slim TV"
Following the success of its range of air-conditioners, Hyundai Electronics India has set out to revolutionise the CTV market here. It has just introduced what it refers to as "India's first Slim TV" "" the HY22F03 in the 21-inch CRT category. The price is Rs 15,990.

This latest innovation has a nearly 100 mm reduction in depth when compared to any other flat CRT TV. The "slim TV" comes packed with advanced technology that ensures hi-fi sound, better picture quality and the latest features for years to come.

Some of the features include: 200 programmes, super scene control, selectable picture modes, zoom function, calendar, DVD input, sharpness and tint control.

The Nokia 7270
The Nokia 7270 is a flip phone with changeable textile wraps, and it has a playful side as well, with an integrated VGA camera with video recording and streaming media.

The 7270 has a black finish accented by art-deco metal faceplates on the front and back. There is a sizable 1.25-inch-diagonal, 4,096-colour external display that shows caller ID information (where available), the time, battery life, and network strength.

You can also use the screen as a viewfinder for self-portraits, and it shows photo caller ID. The camera lens is located at the bottom-right side. The sleek, black interior is highlighted with silver and red lines along the border for a more aesthetically pleasing look.

Business users will be pleased to see the inclusion of a speakerphone, conference calling, a voice recorder, push-to-talk capabilities, voice commands, the ability to wirelessly exchange business card information, and a password-protected electronic wallet for storing credit card numbers and other sensitive information.

There's support for Java (MIDP 2.0) games, and while two titles (Chic Pinball and Disco) come with the phone, you can shop for more diversions. Nokia throws in a couple of extra apps too, such as a translator and clothing size converter.
