What's the floor space index of your car? Perhaps that's the question to ask about a car rather than its horsepower. Why? Because it's an obvious fact that over 70 per cent of all cars sold in the country are in metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, followed by other cities in the country.
If these cars are catering to a predominantly urban audience, maybe we should use a different yardstick to compare them. So if someone tells you that the Maruti 800, Hyundai Santro 1.1, Fiat Siena 1.2 or the Opel Swing 1.4 belong to different categories and cannot be compared, to hell with them.
