Fresh air, blue skies and cars with a clean conscience. Fiat India, which recently launched its CNG-powered Siena and Uno, is doing its bit for the environment and also looking for an additional revenue stream to shore up its shoddy performance.
The cars come equipped with Tartarini kits (the firm supplies CNG kits to all Fiat Auto cars globally), retrofitted to Euro-II compliant Fiat engines.
The Tartarini kits can also be upgraded to comply with Euro III and IV norms as and when they are implemented. Both cars will have a range of 200 km on full tanks.

The CNG conversions will cost an extra Rs 45,000 over and above the cost of a Siena and an Uno and the switch from petrol to CNG whilst in the car can be made by a simple flick of the selector switch placed on the dashboard.
