Pizza Hut has expanded its Pan Hindustani range, with the launch of Chettinad pizzas.

Traditional south Indian flavours have now been added to the range of pizzas that are sold from Pizza Hut outlets in India.

The Chettinad range will complement the tandoori range, that was launched a year ago, and is doing well across the country, company officials said.

With the new Pan Hindustani range, the company expects a 45 per cent rise in its sales by the end of the calendar year. It also plans to expand its outlet base from 70 in 18 cities to more than a 100 outlets by the year end.

Pizza Hut will continue to blend the international taste of pizzas with traditional flavours, and will expand the Pan Hindustani range further, company officials said.

"Within a short period we have the tandoori range and the Chettinad range, which will be permanent features of our menu at every Pizza Hut outlets. Pizza Hut will definitely come out with more regional flavours in the near future," said Raghuvesh Swarup, marketing manager, Pizza Hut.

Swarup said the launch of the new range is in consonance with the pizza chain's plans to reach out to pizza lovers across the country, panning across generations and traditions. The new range is enhanced by the all-new Chettinad products.

Customers at any of the 70 Pizza Hut restaurants across 18 cities can now choose between a 'Veg Nilgiri', 'Deccan Chicken', 'Dakshin Paneer' and 'Southern Supreme' pizza.

Swarup said Gujarat figures prominently on the agenda of Pizza Hut and Ahmedabad was the first Pizza Hut in the world to be a 100 per cent vegetarian outlet.

"We then launched two more outlets in Surat and a fourth one in Vadodara within a short time. Based on the demand, Pizza Hut will continue to expand its presence in the state," Swarup said.

Pizza Hut has been catering to over 48,000 customers every day. To enhance the Pizza Hut dining experience, the company has launched their new range of Chettinad Pan pizzas mingled with the rich flavours of fresh pepper and spicy chillies. The Pan Hindustani range will have Indian tastes adorning international bases, Swarup said.

Pizza Hut, with a 48 per cent share of the Indian pizza market, is one of the flagship brands of Yum! Brands, Inc., which also has KFC, Taco Bell, A&W and Long John Silver's under its umbrella.
