A two-day 'Rajasthan Day celebration' will begin in Ahmedabad from Saturday. The festival, aiming at showcasing the cultural heritage of Rajasthan, will he held at Narayani Farms and Resorts, near EDI campus, on the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar road. |
The two-day celebration includes a cultural event, along with Rajasthani food festival and the highlights of the event comprise dance by traditional Rajasthani folk artists, a mini craft bazaar, puppet shows, magic shows, elephant safari, joy rides and the like. |
Gopiram Gupta, promoter of Narayani Farms said in Ahmedabad on Thursday, "Rajasthan is the most sought after tourist spot and attracts large number of 1domestic as well as foreign tourists. During 2004, 9.72 lakh tourists visited Rajasthan in comparison to six lakh in the year 2003. This is an attempt to bring to Gujarat the rich heritage of Rajasthan." |
