If there is one name that can create magic in Kollywood, it probably is that of Rajinikanth, the superstar of the estimated Rs 3,000-crore Tamil film industry. His films are the best opportunity for writers and the media to go eloquent, as it is considered certain that nothing can go wrong and the producers’ return on investment is guaranteed.
His magic has now combined with beauty and the best of brains in the movie Endhiran, India’s most expensive film project, with a budget of Rs 300 crore.
Industry experts and representatives have said “this will be the best alliance in the history of the movie industry”. The 60-year-old superstar agrees. He says: “There are four important pillars — Director Shankar, Producer Kalanidhi Maran, Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Music Director A R Rahman.”
Rajinikanth adds that this film would create history in Indian cinema. “I am not saying this because it is a big-budget, Shankar-Aishwarya-Kalanidhi Maaran-Rajinikanth combine. This is the first scientific movie made in India, in line with Hollywood standards. First of its kind. That’s why I say this with confidence,” he says.
