 On October 13, when Tracmail, a Mumbai-based call centre, announced that it was merging with its partner firms Webhelp and Spheronomics, TWS Holdings, with 60-year-old Adi Cooper at its helm, was born. And it is the third largest call centre operator in the country after Wipro Spectramind and Daksh.

 The merger put an end to speculation doing the rounds in the past one year that Tracmail was on the block and Cooper, a 30 per cent shareholder, was under pressure to sell out from the venture capital funds which had helped him start the company in December 1999 as India
