The multiplex star

 As a movie buff right from his college days, Manubhai Patel had two wishes: Owning a cinema hall and meeting actress Hema Malini.

 At that time, both seemed a distant dream, considering that his joint family owns only a paan shop and two small-scale units manufacturing cast iron powder.

 But after years, Patel has fulfilled the first wish of owning a cinema house by setting up Wide Angle, a multiplex, and is within striking distance of the second.

 Patel, now the chairman of Essem Entertainment Pvt Ltd, has set up the multiplex with an investment of over Rs 20 crore.

 He has new plans now. He wants to set up a residential school and a huge hospital on the outskirts of Ahmedabad.
