Only two of them were ever built. Bearing a close resemblance to the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, it however had side-mounted exhaust pipes, air-vents and a cockpit with a curved, wrap-around windshield.
But what separated it from the gull-wing was a 310 horsepower straight eight, displacing 3000 CC, which made it capable of speeds touching 300 kph. Only the enclosed cockpit disguised the fact that it was an extreme racing machine.
The car we're talking about is the 300 SLR coupe, famously known as the Uhlenhaut coupe
