Close friends call him Tempest, a name his father gave him. And he's all set to raise a storm in the news television market by launching two national news channels by April 1.
Little surprise, then, that NDTV's personable president Prannoy Roy was mobbed by the media at a press conference on Thursday that announced the company's distribution tie-up with The One Alliance.
A joint venture between Sony Entertainment Television and Discovery Networks, The One Alliance will carry Roy's 24-hour English and Hindi news channels along with Sony, Set Max, HBO, Discovery, Animal Planet and others.
Predictably, Roy evades all queries on his news channels
