 NSX-Y HSC

Perhaps the most striking exhibit in the show, the cool HSC concept is what the replacement for the legendary (and ageing) NSX is likely to resemble.

Proportionally innovative with a very long wheelbase for its overall length, the HSC's exterior design is also notable for its prominent use of concave surfaces that visually lighten its form.

As the bonnet surface meets the front wing, there is a concave surface that bleeds into the A-pillar, a theme repeated similarly at the rear of the car. Chris Bangle, take a hint!

 PM me up, Scotty

You sit inside a pod-like cabin equipped with twin pistol grip controls for by-wire steering, braking and acceleration. Power is from a rear-mounted brushless electric motor.

A visual communication system keeps the Toyota PM (Personal Mobility) concept in touch with other PMs so they can share info and "chat" about experiences.

The PM also communicates different emotions using LEDs to display different colours on its body, lights and rear wheels.

The angle of the cabin and length of wheelbase adjust according to driving conditions, standing tall for walk-in-access and and fully extending for high-speed motoring.

Rear wheels turn in opposite directions
