Based on the Coupe is this, the CCS concept, ready to be unveiled at the forthcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The Coupe Cabriolet Study is the work of Hyundai's R&D centre at Frankfurt and convertible specialists/ex-coachbuilders, Karmann.

The CCS incorporates a unique three-phase slide-and-fold roof, operated by the touch of a button. You can convert the car from a glass-roofed coupe to an open-roofed one to a convertible. Hyundai doesn't rule out incorporating solar panels on the roof either.

The new roof is engineered in such a way that it doesn't compromise boot space. But there are other changes to the Coupe, and that includes new Michelin 225/40 18-inch rubber, fresh front and rear light clusters, and sporty Recaro seats.

Inside the hood is an engine some Indian rich cats are familiar with, the 165 bhp 2700 CC V6 mated to a six-speed gearbox. Based on public opinion at the motor show, Hyundai might just get it into production.

Major changes are a twin-spark ignition system and a longer swingarm. The twin-spark ignition allows the Pulsars to burn fuel more efficiently and quickly
