Jaguar’s first ever SUV is attending the 2016 Indian Auto Expo with a subsequent launch later on this year!

Jaguar F-Pace was revealed a few months back in 2015 and will go on sale globally, very soon. Tata-owned, British marque's first ever SUV will make its Indian debut at the upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo. Jaguar F-Pace will compete with SUVs like Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q5, BMW X5 and its launch can be expected later this year.

F-Pace is the third product to be carved out of Jaguar’s new light aluminium architecture. The all-new XE, which will be launched in the first week of February in India, debuted this platform and the next-gen XF will also feature the same. Speaking of its looks, you get to see that it is significantly inspired from Jaguar’s current portfolio, and that it is pretty obvious! The front profile is reminiscent of XF while the rear profile appears to be an F-Type on steroids.

Variants?

Jaguar India will offer 4 variants of F-Pace, namely, Pure, Prestige, R-Sport and First Edition.

The R-Sport and First Edition trims features a 3.0-liter V6 twin turbo diesel mustering 296 bhp @ 4000 rpm and a colossal 700 Nm of max torque at 2000 rpm. This engine is also mated to an 8-Speed automatic transmission, propelling it from naught to 100 kmph in 6.2-seconds before topping out at 241 kmph. The R-Sport  rides on 19-inch alloys, however, First Edition comes with 20-inch wheels. The V6 diesel delivers a combined certified fuel efficiency of approximately 16 kmpl (100 km/ 6.0-liters).
