Mercedes Benz India is likely to launch its GLC SUV in India sometime soon. Showcased at the Auto Expo 2016, Mercedes Benz is likely to bring the GLC SUV in June and will be one of the 12 launches promised by the company at the start of the year.
The SUV will come with a new dashboard design and will also pack in a new Burmester system with safety package from the C-Class.
For 2016, Mercedes-Benz India plans on introducing 12 new models in the country. The GLC SUV is part of their strategic launches for the Indian market. Mercedes GLC SUV is based on its popular C-Class sedan, which is appreciated all over the world.
The Mercedes Benz GLC SUV will come powered with a 2.1-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that will be mated to a nine-speed gearbox along with 4MATIC and AWD function.
The interiors of the GLC SUV by Mercedes-Benz will be premium and exquisite as always. Customers will find various similarities between the GLC and the current generation of the C-Class on offer in India.
The SUV will most likely come with a price tag of Rs 45 lakh- Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Mercedes Benz GLC SUV will compete against the likes of Audi Q3 and BMW X1 on Indian roads.
