AUTO EXPO 2006 - Q&A/ Madhur Bajaj

Madhur Bajaj, president, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), and vice-chairman, Bajaj Auto Ltd, is optimistic on the eve of Auto Expo 2006.
 
Toyota, General Motors, DaimlerChrysler and Hyundai are missing in this year's expo.
 
We have seven additional participants""three of which are new ones and four are those that have come back to the expo after a gap.
 
There is this issue of quality of the crowd at the expo.
 
The ticket prices have been modified to ensure the quality of the crowd. The timings have also been changed to ensure that media and business visitors are not disturbed.
 
There have been problems of vandalism, when some visitors scratched the vehicles.
 
There are 46 closed-circuit television cameras to keep an eye on visitors.
 
What will be the essence of the 2006 Auto Expo?
 
Everything and anything the (automobile) consumer wants will be on display at this expo.
