The survey also finds that IT remains the biggest contributor to the city’s growth.
According to Rajesh A R, VP, TeamLease Services, “The industry seems to have turned the corner and intends to hire aggressively. The recovery in sentiment is smart, comprehensive and widespread with the jump in hiring sentiment being shared across geographies and across most sectors. The improvement in sentiment has been studied and gradual over the past four quarters, giving us reason to believe that it is here to stay. Although global economy concerns persist, as far as the employment scenario in India is concerned, the cheer has spread and the good times are back!”
On the attrition front, the attrition rate has risen 5 per cent to 15 per cent. This is against the attrition rate of 10 per cent seen during the previous quarterly survey.
