Supreme Court Senior Counsel K T S Tulsi has said a separate chargesheet should be filed for Price Waterhouse auditor Srinivas Talluri, arrested in the Satyam case for allegedly conniving with its founder B Ramalinga Raju and other aides. There is no reason for combining the charge together with the cases relating to Raju, he added. Arguing for a bail petition of Talluri at the AP High Court on Thursday, Tulsi said the role of auditors in the scam was minimal. He said CBI was adopting an unprofessional approach by linking all the accused in one single chargesheet and this would delay justice.
CBI counsel T Niranjan Reddy said the role of a watchdog in the case was more important. The Rajus could perpetrate their misdeeds for eight years only by conniving with the auditors, he pointed out.
