Reality shows are providing an alternative to audiences to overcome the fatigue of daily soaps, top executive of a company said today.
Reality shows, especially on weekends, have emerged as real winners on the small screen, Wizcraft Television's Business Head and Creative Director Namit Sharma said.
The company forayed into reality shows with the third season of 'Nach Baliye'.
'Sajid's Superstars' on newly launched Colors is the latest content being offered from Wizcraft followed by 'Hole in the Wall' on Pogo and 'The Unforgettable Tour Diaries' on NDTV Imagine, Sharma said.
"The audience likes such content. The Unforgettable Tour Diaries will be ten-minute capsules tracking the ongoing Bachchan world tour across Canada, Europe and United States."
Wizcraft Television has been producing all television programming related to the IIFA awards organised by the event management company.

Sharma said reality television emerged in recent years due to the success of programmes like 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa', 'Indian Idol', 'Nach Baliye', 'Jhalak Dhikla Ja', 'Voice of India', all related to song and dance.
"The tough competition has kept everyone on their toes and the challenge is to provide innovative and quality programmes to the audience."
"We don't think films are an alternative programming to daily soaps. Only big films do well on television. We think we can do our bit to raise the standard of reality shows because there is huge apetite for it," he added.
Wizcraft Television will launch a couple of new shows by the year-end. "We also plan to get into fiction programming," Sharma added.
