3i Infotech starts QIP

Information technology firm 3i Infotech Ltd said it will open its share sale through qualified institutional placement (QIP) route today.

The company is expected to raise Rs 500 crore through QIP. The committee of directors on Thursday decided to launch the issue, 3i said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The company's stock  was trading at Rs 89.50, nearly 1.53 per cent higher than Thursday's close.
